La Encartada Factory-Museum

A century-old site dedicated to the production of wool knitwear, from its founding in 1892 until its closure in 1992. The complex has been restored as a museum, one of the finest examples of the textile industry in Europe. It retains the original building, with its spacious halls housing an impressive collection of perfectly preserved 19th-century machinery. November is the month of demonstrations. A unique opportunity to see La Encartada’s centuries-old machinery in operation.
